Wild Sign Forward Prospect

The Minnesota Wild have signed Pavel Novak to a three-year, entry-level contract.

The Wild selected Novak with the 146th-overall pick of the 2020 NHL Entry Draft. Since then, he has shown signs of improvement. This season was a particularly impressive one for the 20-year-old right-winger, as he had 29 goals and 43 assists in 62 games. Now, he will be aiming to translate that kind of play over to the AHL starting next season.

Novak will likely need to spend some time in Iowa before making the jump to the team's NHL roster. However, even with this being so, there's hope that he could develop into a full-time NHLer later down the road. Thus, the Wild are continuing to strengthen their prospect pool.
