Brayden Point Back for Stanley Cup Final

Brayden Point has been out for two playoff rounds.

Point fell awkwardly into the boards in game seven of the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs and has been on the injured reserve since.

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced that Point will be rejoining the team tonight in game one of the Stanley Cup Final against the Colorado Avalanche.

Many have been speculating that Point would appear in tonight's game, after the center skated with the team on Tuesday and worked with the club's top powerplay line.

Head coach Jon Cooper stated this morning that Point "looks like he's a go" for tonight's game.

Point has 2 goals, 2 assists, and 21 shots in 7 appearances this post season, and has put up a career 77 points in 74 playoff games. The stats speak for the level of impact Point has on the ice, particularly in the most crucial games of the season.

It's an impact the Lightning will need every ounce of during this final series.
