Hurricanes Defenseman Cleared To Play

Carolina Hurricanes defenseman Jake Gardiner missed the entirety of the 2021-22 season after having hip and back surgeries. His playing career seemed to be in jeopardy, but now GM Don Waddell has provided us with some excellent news - Gardiner has been cleared to play.

It's simply fantastic to hear that Gardiner can resume his NHL career. He last played during the 2020-21 season with Carolina but was limited to only 26 games. During them, he recorded eight assists.

It will be intriguing to see how the Hurricanes utilize Gardiner from here. He will have to earn himself a spot in their top six again for next season. Let's see if he can do just that.
