NHL Rumors: Canucks Shopping Winger

According to Frank Seravalli, the Vancouver Canucks will be trying to trade Tanner Pearson this offseason.

The Canucks are desperately trying to free up cap space to help their chances of keeping all of their core players around for a long time. Thus, moving Pearson and his $3.2 million cap hit until the end of the 2023-24 season would be ideal.

Although Pearson's cap hit is a bit expensive, there still could be a market for the 29-year-old. In 68 games this season, he scored 14 goals and recorded 34 points. Thus, he has the ability to be a solid middle-six forward, so let's see if that's enough for the Canucks to find him a new home for the 2022-23 campaign.
