NHL Rumors: Flyers Offer John Tortorella Head Coaching Position

Over the last few weeks, the Philadelphia Flyers have been searching for their head coach. It already has been confirmed that they interviewed John Tortorella, and it's clear that they liked what they heard from him. According to Kevin Weekes, the Flyers have now offered Tortorella the head coaching job, but a deal has not been finalized yet.

Tortorella comes with a rather large resume behind the bench. In 1,383 games coached between the Lightning, Rangers, Canucks, and Blue Jackets, he has a 673-541-37-132 record. With that, he is a two-time Jack Adams Award winner and led the Lightning to the Stanley Cup in 2004. Now, we will have to wait and see if he builds on his experience behind the Flyers' bench.

Torts in Philadelphia would surely be a fun sight to see.
