Stars Sign Forward To Extension

The Dallas Stars are staying busy, as they have signed Frederik Karlstrom to a one-year, two-way contract extension.

Karlstrom appeared in his first three NHL games this season, where he recorded an assist and sported a plus-2 rating. Down in the AHL with the Texas Stars, he scored 16 goals and had 29 total points. Overall, it was a solid year for the 24-year-old forward, and he will be looking to build on it in 2022-23.

At worst, the Stars are keeping a solid piece of their depth around in Karlstrom. However, perhaps he could surprise some people during camp and earn himself a spot in their bottom-six next season. Time will tell on that front.
