Flyers Re-Sign Former 1st-Round Draft Pick

The Flyers have re-signed forward Morgan Frost to a one-year deal worth $800K.

The twenty-three year old was the 27th overall pick of the 2017 NHL Entry Draft. Morgan Frost was once regarded as one of the top NHL prospects, and for good reason.

In four seasons with the Soo Greyhounds of the OHL, Frost scored 106 goals, 204 assists, for 310 total points in 257 games. He has not been able to translate that succes to the NHL level yet, as he's only managed seven goals and 16 assists in 77 career games. He's put up respectable numbers at the AHL level however, playing 65 games and scoring 19 goals and 29 assists.

The Flyers will give Frost one more year to prove himself as a player that is worth keeping around.
