Hurricanes Sign Forward

The Hurricanes have signed forward Ondrej Kase to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.

According to TSN, the Leafs offered Kase the exact same deal but he chose to sign with Carolina instead.

In 50 games with the Leafs this past season, Kase scored 14 goals and 13 assists for 27 total points. In seven playoff games, he recorded 3 assists.

The Leafs were hoping to receive the pre-2019 Ondrej Kase when they signed him, which saw him play 149 games and record 73 total points, but that didn't exactly happen.

Kase is a decent bottom-six forward, and penalty killer, who will improve the already strong Hurricanes offensive depth.
