Islanders Re-Sign 2 Defensemen

The Islanders have re-signed Sebastian Aho and Robin Salo to two-year contract extensions.

With these moves, the Islanders are keeping around two solid depth defensemen.

Aho has made appearances at the NHL level over each of the last three seasons with the Islanders. In 36 games this campaign, he set new career highs with two goals, 10 assists, and 12 points. He will be pushing for a spot in their top six next season.

Salo, on the other hand, played in his first 21 NHL games this campaign. During them, he scored a goal and had five points. He also played quite well with the Bridgeport Islanders, as he recorded 20 points in 40 games. We should expect to see more of him with the NHL squad next season.
