Predators Sign Filip Forsberg To Long-Term Extension

This year's free agency class has lost one of its best forwards. Filip Forsberg has signed an eight-year, $68 million extension to stay with the Predators.

With free agency beginning in just a few days, it seemed that the Predators were on the verge of losing Forsberg. Yet, Nashville just beat the clock, and they have managed to lock up their best forward.

Forsberg has earned this massive extension from the Predators. In 69 games this campaign, he set new career-highs with 42 goals, 42 assists, and 84 points. It was a spectacular year for the 27-year-old, and now Predators fans get to keep watching him for the next eight years at least.

In 566 career games, all with Nashville, Forsberg has 220 goals, 249 assists, and 469 points.
