Leafs Sign Forechecking Forward

The Toronto Maple Leafs have signed forward Nicolas Aube-Kubel to a one-year deal worth $1 million.

Fresh off a Stanley Cup win with the Avalanche, Aube-Kubel is headed to Toronto.

In 67 games this past season, Aube-Kubel scored 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 total points. The twenty-six year old is a depth forward with good defensive awareness. He's one of the best forecheckers in the league and will likely be used on the fourth line.
