NHL Rumors: Coyotes Interested In Islanders Winger

According to The Fourth Period, the Coyotes are one of the teams linked to Islanders forward Josh Bailey.
There have been rumblings that the Islanders are hoping to move Bailey and his $5 million this offseason. The 32-year-old doesn't have any trade protection, so the Islanders can move him without any issues if they find a team willing to take him on. The Coyotes appear to be one of the clubs at least considering this.

Although Bailey is still effective for the Islanders, they are looking for high-impact scorers. They do not have the cap space to get one without moving salary out, so it would make sense to move Bailey. The Islanders would likely need to add a sweetener for the Coyotes to make this move, though.

It will be interesting to see if these two clubs can complete a trade centering around Bailey before the summer is over.
