NHL Rumors: Islanders Interested In Flames Star

According to The Fourth Period, the Islanders are one of the many teams interested in pending UFA Johnny Gaudreau.

Gaudreau has a contract offer from the Flames, but at this juncture, there seems to be a good chance that he will be testing the market. If he does in fact hit it, the Islanders should be all over him. They desperately need a scoring winger, and Gaudreau would provide them with just that.

In 82 games this season, Johnny Hockey scored 40 goals and recorded a spectacular 115 points. That kind of campaign will get him a monstrous raise. Let's see if the Islanders are the club that gives him that.
