NHL Rumors: Senators Interested In Canadiens Forward

The Senators showed the league that they are buyers this offseason when they acquired Alex DeBrincat from the Blackhawks. Yet, they may not be done adding to their roster. According to Marco D'Amico, they are also expressing interest in Canadiens forward Christian Dvorak.

Dvorak's name has been a notable one in the rumor mill. The Senators could use some depth down the middle, and the 26-year-old would provide them with just that. In 56 games this campaign with Montreal, the Palos native scored 11 goals and recorded 33 points. Overall, it was a decent year for him, so it makes sense that the Senators are expressing interest.

Dvorak carries a $4.45 million cap hit until the completion of the 2024-25 season. Although that is certainly not a cheap contract, the Senators have plenty of cap space at their disposal. It will be intriguing to see if these division rivals can strike a deal this summer.
