NHL Rumors: Several Teams Interested In Free-Agent Center

It shouldn't take free-agent center Colin White too long to find a new home. According to Renaud Lavoie, up to 14 teams showed interest in White over the last handful of months. Now that the 2015 first-round pick is a free agent, they won't have to give up any assets to acquire him.

At 25 years old, White is still young and has the potential to find his old form. Keep in mind, this is a player who had 41 points in 71 games for the Senators during the 218-19 campaign. Although he has had injury trouble, he is a player worth taking a shot on. This is especially true when noting that he will be signed to a far cheaper cap hit.

In 224 career games over six seasons with Ottawa, White had 36 goals, 62 assists, and 98 points. It will be intriguing to see who ends up landing White. Interest in the Massachusetts native is high. One specific team to watch - the Canadiens. They almost landed him at the deadline.
