Ottawa Signs Star Forward

The Ottawa Senators have won the Claude Giroux sweepstakes.

The deal is reportedly three years, at $6.5 million annually, according to Pierre Lebrun.

Giroux put up 65 points (21 goals & 44 assists) in 75 games, split between the Flyers and Panthers, this past season.

For his career, the thirty-four year old has 294 goals, 629 assists, for 923 points in 1018 games.

Giroux is a phenomenal all-around player, with great playmaking abilities. He will pair very nicely with one of the best scorers in the league in Alex DeBrincat.

Ottawa's manager, Pierre Dorion, continues to make some great offseason decisions.
