Dominik Kahun Staying in Switzerland

Dominik Kahun does not appear to be returning to North America any time soon.

The twenty-seven-year-old signed a three-year extension with SC Bern to remain in Switzerland.

Kahun had 16 goals and 44 points through 42 games played for SC Bern this past season.

Kahun signed as an undrafted free agent with the Chicago Blackhawks in 2018 and enjoyed a solid rookie season, putting up 37 points in 82 games. The next off-season, Kahun was sent to Pittsburgh in exchange for defenceman Olli Maatta and was traded again a few months later to the Sabres for Conor Sheary.

He last played in the NHL in the 2020-21 season, posting nine goals and 15 points in 48 games for the Edmonton Oilers.

In 186 career NHL games, Kahun has played for Chicago Blackhawks, Pittsburgh Penguins, Buffalo Sabres and Edmonton Oilers, scoring 83 points in 186 games.
