NHL Rumors: Sharks Asking Price for James Reimer Trade Revealed

The San Jose Sharks are very likely moving veteran goaltender James Reimer at some point this upcoming season as the 34-year-old is a pending free agent and not likely in the plans for the rebuilding Sharks.

It also helps when one of the Sharks rivals, the Vegas Golden Knights, lost their starting netminder Robin Lehner for the season due to hip surgery. There's been rumblings the Golden Knights are considering Reimer and trading for him to 'save their season'.

The Sharks asking price is likely a second-round draft pick as Reimer has been quietly solid for the Sharks the past couple of seasons. In 2021-22, he recorded a 2.90 GAA and a .911 Sv.% in 48 games, quite impressive considering the Sharks were not even close to a playoff team.

San Jose currently holds a second-round pick in the next three drafts so there could be some momentum made in trade talks in the coming days.
