Los Angeles Kings Place Forward on Waivers

The Los Angeles Kings have placed Austin Wagner on waivers.

After recording an eight-point campaign in 44 games with the Los Angeles Kings in 2020-21, Wagner did not play a single game in the NHL last season. Instead, he appeared in 55 games for the Ontario Reign, where he had 13 goals to go along with 22 points. With that, he was as physical as ever, which his 107 penalty minutes effectively display.

I wouldn't rule out the possibility of a team claiming Wagner from here. He carries an affordable $1,133,333 cap hit and could be an effective fourth-liner on a team looking for a bit more grit on their roster. If he clears, he will once again be joining the Reign for the beginning of the season.
