NHL Rumors: David Pastrnak Opens Up About Future With Boston Bruins

When asked by reporters if he's optimistic about getting an extension done with the Boston Bruins, superstar winger David Pastrnak said "yes" and that it's an "honor" to play for the Original Six franchise.

This is certainly encouraging news, as Pastrnak is the Bruins' top goal-scorer by a country mile, and losing him would be immensely detrimental to their roster. Yet, with these words of optimism, it's clear that GM Don Sweeney has a player here who is very open to staying in Boston. He just needs to convince him that he's going to build a roster worth staying for.

Pastrnak noted previously that he isn't in a rush to get a deal done, and that led to speculation that the 26-year-old winger may have his heart set out on testing the free-agent market. Yet, with this development, it's clear the 2014 first-round pick is quite open to staying in Beantown. Let's see if he does just that.
