Blue Jackets Forward Leaves Game With Injury

Columbus Blue Jackets forward Justin Danforth left Saturday's game early due to an upper-body injury.

The specifics of Danforth's injury have not been announced, nor has an estimated recovery time been established. This is certainly a big blow for the 29-year-old forward, as he has been off to a solid start in 2022-23. In six games on the year, he has two goals to go along with an assist. Overall, not bad production at all from the depth forward, but now his hot start might need to be put on pause.

With Danforth being one of Columbus' most solid players to start the year, they will be hoping that he does not have to miss too much time from here. After a summer of spending, they currently have a 2-4-0 record and are at the bottom of the Metropolitan Division. Thus, they need all the help they can get, so let's see if Danforth's removal from the game was simply precautionary.
