Islanders Make Roster Moves

The New York Islanders have activated Sebastian Aho from injured reserve. As a result of Aho returning, fellow defenseman Robin Salo has been sent down to the AHL.

Aho is looking to build off of a solid 2021-22 season that saw him set new career highs with two goals, 10 assists, and 12 points in 36 games. The 26-year-old is now hoping to cement himself as a regular in the Islanders' lineup. With Zdeno Chara and Andy Greene now both retired, there is more room on the Islanders' roster for Aho to compete for a full-time spot in their lineup.

Salo, on the other hand, has looked pretty solid with the Islanders this season. The 2017 second-round pick has two goals and a plus-1 rating in four contests. He will likely receive a call-up in the near future, and this is especially true if the Islanders deal with more injury trouble and/or have other defensemen struggling.
