Kings Forward Moved to LTIR; Make More Roster Moves

Troubling news for the Los Angeles Kings, as Alex Iafallo has been moved from IR to LTIR. In response to this, the Kings have called up Austin Wagner and sent down Jacob Moverare.

This LTIR placement means that Iafallo will be forced to miss more time, and that is rough to hear. The 28-year-old forward was off to a truly excellent start to the 2022-23 season, as he already has five points in just four games. Unfortunately, that hot start now has to be put on pause due to the severity of his ongoing injury.

Wagner, on the other hand, is set to make his season debut for the Kings. This is exciting news for the 25-year-old winger, as he has not played in an NHL game since the 2020-21 season, where he had eight points in 44 games. Should he impress, it could be enough for him to win a spot on their fourth line again for the season.

With the Kings needing a forward, it makes sense to see an extra defenseman like Moverae heading back to the AHL. In 19 games last season with LA, he had two assists.
