Kraken Make Roster Move

The Seattle Kraken have called up Joey Daccord to their NHL roster.

This Daccord call-up isn't surprising, as fellow netminder Philipp Grubauer left Friday's game early against the Colorado Avalanche injured. As a result, they obviously needed a goalie to replace him, and now Daccord is set to rejoin the Kraken because of it. At the time of this writing, an update on Grubauer has not been provided, nor has he been placed on IR/LTIR.

Daccord impressed during training camp, but, unfortunately, did not make the final cut. In fact, his play reportedly had teams considering the possibility of claiming him off waivers, but that did not come to fruition. It will be interesting to see how the Massachusetts native responds to this call-up from here.

In 14 career NHL games, Daccord sports a 1-4-1 record, .894 SV%, and 3.50 GAA.
