NHL Rumors: Dallas Stars Frustrated With Top Winger

The Dallas Stars play their first game of the regular season on October 13th against the Nashville Predators. Thus, the year is just about here, but they still have not agreed to a new contract with RFA and top winger Jason Robertson. According to Elliotte Friedman, the team is beginning to become a bit frustrated with the 23-year-old.

Now, that does not mean that the Stars are just going to trade him. Negotiations can bring about frustration, and this is especially true when they have been going on for several months. In fact, Friedman noted that they are inching closer to a deal. However, if no contract is finalized by opening night, it wouldn't be surprising to see the Stars get angrier with Robertson.

To put it bluntly, the Stars need to get Robertson signed now. He is their top forward and both the present and future of the club. In 74 games this past season with them, he had 41 goals to go along with 79 points. Starting the season without that kind of production will be bad for the Stars, so let's see if a deal can be finalized shortly.
