NHL Rumors: Flyers Defenseman Available for Trade

According to Anthony Di Marco, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Ivan Provorov is "by no means untouchable" via trade.

With this report, it appears that the Flyers are fully willing to listen to offers regarding Provorov. This isn't the first time where the left-shot defenseman has been in the rumor mill, however, as his name was picking up steam during this past offseason as well. However, even with the Flyers off to a strong start in 2022-23, a trade centering around him is not off the table.

Like the Flyers, Provorov has started the year hot, recording five assists and a plus-5 rating in his first seven games. This is great to see from the 25-year-old and only heightens his trade value.

If a team were to acquire Provorov, he would be more than a rental, as he carries a $6.75 million cap hit until the end of the 2024-25 season. Let's see if a move occurs from here.
