NHL Rumors: Kings Only Have 2 Untouchables

It appears that the Los Angeles Kings may be open to making some pretty notable changes to their roster. According to John Hoven, the only two Kings players who are untouchables via trade are Quinton Byfield and Brandt Clarke.

I mean, it is easy to see why the Kings have zero interest in trading Byfield and Clarke. Both of these youngsters have an immense amount of potential and should be the duo that they build around for the next decade at least. If Byfield hits his ceiling, the 6-foot-5 center will be in their top six for a very long time, while Clarke could very well blossom into a top-pairing defenseman.

This does make one wonder, though - who will the Kings end up trading from here? It has been established that they are aiming to trade a right-handed defenseman, but it's clear that they are also open to switching things up pretty significantly if they only have two untouchable players. Alas, LA is a team to watch very closely from here.
