Predators Call Up Defenseman

The Nashville Predators have called up Jordan Gross to their NHL roster. To free up a roster spot for him, the Predators have placed Mark Borowiecki on injured reserve.

Speaking of Borowiecki's injury, it isn't all that surprising to see the Predators call up another defenseman for depth because of his absence. Now, Gross will be aiming to put together some strong play for Nashville in hopes of it leading to a permanent spot on their roster from here.

Gross has played in 10 NHL games over the last three seasons, where he recorded four assists and a minus-1 rating. He has been lighting up the AHL as well with the Milwaukee Admirals this campaign, where he has a goal and seven points in six games. The 5-foot-10 defenseman is known for his solid offense from the point, so let's see if it can translate over to the NHL level from here.
