Penguins Make Roster Moves

The Pittsburgh Penguins have made some changes to their roster. Drew O'Connor has been called up to the NHL squad, while Drake Caggiula is heading back to the AHL.

O'Connor played in 22 games this past season with the Penguins, where he had three goals and two assists. Unfortunately, he did not make the NHL roster out of training camp, but he clearly has impressed so far this campaign in the AHL. In eight games with the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins on the year, he has two goals and six points. Let's see how much of this solid offense translates over to Pittsburgh from here.

Caggiula, on the other hand, was recently called up to the Penguins' roster, but he is now heading right back to the AHL. In three games with Pittsburgh on the year, he has zero points and a minus-1 rating. Given his solid amount of NHL experience, don't be surprised to see him secure another call-up at some point this season when injuries arise.
