Tampa Bay Lightning Call Up Defenseman

The Tampa Bay Lightning have called up Trevor Carrick to their NHL roster.

Carrick has not played in an NHL game since the 2019-20 season as a member of the San Jose Sharks, but that could soon be changing. Yet, at this juncture, it seems more likely that the 28-year-old will serve as the club's seventh defenseman. This role was opened up due to Ian Cole's indefinite suspension.

Carrick has just seven games of NHL experience over his career, where he has zero points, 12 penalty minutes, and a minus-2 rating. In 61 games last season with the San Diego Gulls of the AHL, he had 10 goals and 30 points.
