Vancouver Canucks Forward Set to Return
According to Darren Dreger, Ilya Mikheyev should be in the lineup for the Vancouver Canucks when they take on the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday night.
Mikheyev was one of the Canucks' biggest offseason additions, so naturally, their fans will be quite excited to see him make his regular-season debut with the club. After scoring 21 goals and recording 32 points in 53 games last season with the Toronto Maple Leafs, the 28-year-old landed himself a four-year, $19 million with Vancouver. Now, it's time for him to make a good first impression.
This is the kind of boost that the Canucks certainly need right now. Things have gone poorly for them so far this campaign, as they have a 0-2-0 record and lost leads in both of those contests. Let's see if Mikheyev's presence can help them get back on track.
