Vancouver Canucks Hold Players-Only Meeting After Latest Collapse

The Vancouver Canucks blew a two-goal lead against the Washington Capitals on Tuesday night in their latest collapse this season. It's only been three games into the 2022-23 season, but the Canucks players are pissed off and trying to get the train back on the tracks.

The team held a players-only meeting after their debacle in Washington. It's been the same ol' story to start this season as they've held 3-0, 2-0, and 4-2 leads in each of their first three games and sure enough, have lost each contest.

Captain Bo Horvat and coach Bruce Boudreau both called the team's play unacceptable. Horvat in particular thought his team was mentally weak and continue to get down on themselves when they give up a goal, instead of fighting back and re-taking the lead.

The Canucks penalty kill has been a huge sore spot and Boudreau admitted he's likely got the wrong guys out there because other teams are scoring within the first 15 seconds. Unfortunately for Vancouver's coach, if things don't right themselves quickly, he's going to be out of a job very early into the 2022-23 season.
