Veteran Forward "Content" With Possibility of Retiring

With the regular season right around the corner, Tyler Bozak is still a free agent. According to Jeremy Rutherford, the veteran forward only wants to play in a "few select situations" and is "content" with retiring if they do not occur.

Bozak spent this past season with the St. Louis Blues where his offensive totals noticeably declined. After recording 17 points in 31 games with St. Louis the season before, he had just three goals and nine assists in 50 games last season. Certainly a down year by his standards, but we shouldn't rule out the possibility of him getting interest elsewhere. Keep in mind, he is a solid penalty killer and comes with an array of NHL experience.

If Bozak's preferred destinations do not come to fruition, expect a retirement announcement in the near future. If this is truly the end, he has put together a very good career. In 814 career games, he has 170 goals, 291 assists, and 461 points.
