Anaheim Ducks Rumors: Teams Calling About 4 Players

According to The Fourth Period, teams around the NHL are calling the Anaheim Ducks about John Klingberg, Adam Henrique, Kevin Shattenkirk, and Frank Vatrano.

Klingberg's name has been in the rumor mill, and it is easy to understand why. The veteran defenseman is a pending UFA, and the Ducks are having a bad season. As a result, he is their top rental candidate, and interest in his services is already skyrocketing. The Toronto Maple Leafs have already been confirmed as a team calling about him.

Henrique is a player who I discussed as a potential trade candidate earlier this season. It is not too surprising to hear that he is garnering interest, as he is a very solid second-line forward while playing at his best. After a slow start to the season, he has been heating up nicely, as he has nine points in his last nine games.

Shattenkirk is another right-shot defenseman who is a pending UFA. Teams in need of some help on their second- or third-pairing should surely consider making a push for him, as he contributes well from the point and has a Stanley Cup on his resume.

Vatrano was just inked to a three-year deal this offseason, but he also does not have any trade protection. Therefore, if the Ducks want to fully embrace the rebuild and take advantage of his trade value, they surely could move him.
