Ottawa Senators Make Roster Moves

The Ottawa Senators have called up Lassi Thomson to their NHL roster, while Jacob Larsson has been sent down to the American Hockey League (AHL).

Thomson appeared in his 16 NHL games last season, where he had five assists and a minus-8 rating. The 2019 first-round pick will be aiming to make a bigger impact during this call-up, as it could be exactly what leads to the 22-year-old defenseman landing a permanent spot on their NHL roster. In 15 games this season with the Belleville Senators, he has three goals and 10 points.

Larsson, on the other hand, has played in three games with the Senators, where he has zero points and a minus-1 rating. Overall, his first impression with Ottawa has been rather uneventful, but now he will be hoping to impress in the AHL. It could be exactly what leads to him landing another call-up.
