Carolina Hurricanes Forward Inching Closer to Return

The Carolina Hurricanes will be getting a big boost to their lineup shortly, as Teuvo Teravainen could return during the team's upcoming six-game road trip, according to Kurt Dusterburg.

When noting that the Hurricanes have won just three out of their last 10 games, Teravainen's return could not come at a better time. Although Carolina is third in the Metropolitan Division at the time of this writing, they are in danger of dropping in the standings if their struggles continue. Thus, getting back a top-six forward back like Teravainen could be the jolt they need to get things back on track.

In 14 games this season, Teravainen has seven assists and a plus-3 rating. For his standards, these numbers are a bit low, as he just had 65 points in 77 games last season. Therefore, expect to see him heat up once he comes back into the lineup.
