Chicago Blackhawks Forward to Miss Time

According to Charlie Roumeliotis, the Chicago Blackhawks will be without Sam Lafferty for the next few games due to an upper-body injury.

This is not ideal news for the Blackhawks, as Lafferty has had a decent start to the 2022-23 season thus far. In 19 games on the year, he has three goals to go along with seven points. Overall, that is not bad production from the bottom-six forward, but more importantly, he has made an even bigger impact with his strong defensive play and physicality. As a result, he will not be the easiest player to replace in the lineup.

On the bright side, this appears to be a short-term injury, assuming he does not suffer any setbacks. Here's to hoping he gets back into game action soon and continues to make an impact in the process.
