NHL Rumors: Chicago Blackhawks Defenseman Garnering Interest

The Chicago Blackhawks are in a full-on rebuild. As a result, big-name players like Patrick Kane, Jonathan Toews, and Max Domi are viewed as trade candidates, but the Blackhawks have another under-the-radar asset worth paying attention to. Following his waiver claim, Jarred Tinordi has been a great addition to the Blackhawks and could end up being a solid trading piece for them at the deadline because of it.

In 16 games on the year with Chicago, Tinordi has already set a new career-high with two goals and has four points. With that, he has been dominant in the physical side of the game, as he is second in the league with 67 hits. His physical nature and solid defensive play should make him an appealing option for teams looking to add to their defensive depth for the playoffs. It also does not hurt that he carries an affordable $900,000 cap hit.

If Tinordi can continue to play like this moving forward, the Blackhawks could get a decent draft pick for him in return. Alas, keep an eye on what happens with the rental candidate from here.
