NHL Rumors: Flyers & Coyotes Emerging as Trade Candidates

After starting the season excellently, the Philadelphia Flyers have taken a noticeable step back as of late. After their 4-1 loss to the Boston Bruins on Thursday (Nov. 17), they now have a 7-7-3 record and will fall out of the playoff race if they continue to lose so frequently. As a result, GM Chuck Fletcher might be wise to start working the phones. One player who should be on his radar is Arizona Coyotes winger Nick Ritchie.

The Flyers could use a bit more scoring depth, and Ritchie would provide just that. In 16 games so far this season, the 6-foot-3 winger has six goals to go along with nine points. Overall, that is pretty decent production and would be welcomed with open arms by the Flyers.

However, Ritchie's very physical style of play would also make him a great fit within the Flyers' well-known culture. Alas, we will have to wait and see if the Flyers make a push for Ritchie from here.
