NHL Rumors: Columbus Blue Jackets to Shop Forward

The Columbus Blue Jackets have had a truly disastrous 2022-23 season and changes are set to come because of it. After being healthy scratched for Tuesday's game by the Blue Jackets, Jack Roslovic is a name we should start paying attention to in the trading market.

Roslovic, much like the majority of the Blue Jackets roster, has had a rough start to the year. In 14 games thus far, he has one goal, five assists, and a minus-5 rating. These numbers are far below his standards, and it could be enough for Columbus to entertain offers regarding the 6-foot-1 center.

If Roslovic is unable to turn things around and continues to find himself as a healthy scratch, it may be best for him to find a new home. Although he carries a $4 million cap hit until the end of the 2023-24 season, he is also coming off of a season that saw him score 22 goals and record 45 points in 81 games. Therefore, when hot, he is a solid middle-six forward, so a market should form if he bounces back.
