NHL Rumors: Philadelphia Flyers to Shop Star Forward

The Philadelphia Flyers may have had a great start to this season, but boy has things fallen off dramatically since. After losing their last 10 games, the Flyers now have a 7-10-5 record and are near the bottom of the NHL standings. Now seems like the right time for GM Chuck Fletcher to begin the team's much-needed rebuild. If he finally goes down this necessary path, Philadelphia would have no bigger trade candidate than Travis Konecny.

The Flyers would be wise to shop Konecny right now, as his trade value is at its highest due to his spectacular start to the season. In 17 games so far, he has seven goals and 19 points. If he continues this excellent pace of production once he returns from injury, his value will only heighten.

Philadelphia needs to make changes for the future, and Konecny is the player that will land them the best return. Let's see if this leads to him being moved at the deadline.
