Winnipeg Jets Call Up Forward

With Morgan Barron out, the Winnipeg Jets have called up Jansen Harkins to their NHL roster.

Harkins is no stranger, as he played in 77 games last season for the Jets, where he had seven goals and six assists. In total, he has appeared in 132 career games with the Jets, scoring 10 goals and recording 22 points. Given his experience, he works well as a depth forward, and now he is getting his first chance at the NHL level this season because of it.

Harkins will now be in the running to have a bottom-six role for the Jets during this call-up. Should he perform well, it could be exactly what wins him a spot on Winnipeg's roster permanently again. In six games this season with the Manitoba Moose, he has five goals and nine points.
