3 Potential Trade Destinations for Oilers' Jesse Puljujarvi

Edmonton Oilers forward Jesse Puljujarvi has lost his confidence and it's time for the Oilers to move on from their one-time top prospect. Puljujarvi would benefit from a change of scenery and expect to see Oilers general manager Ken Holland involve his struggling forward in trade talks leading up to the March 3rd deadline. Here's a few potential destinations:

Arizona Coyotes

No better place to hit reset on your career than playing some big minutes for a rebuilding hockey club. The Arizona Coyotes are a prime trade destination for Puljujarvi. They have the cap space to easily facilitate the deal and could provide him the change of scenery he needs, playing hockey in a small market with limited pressure. Perhaps a one-for-one swap for Nick Ritchie could please both sides.

Anaheim Ducks

Again, a rebuilding franchise who need players with potential, the Ducks fit the bill here. Anaheim is expected to be active on the trade market and have pending free agent defenseman John Klingberg who they will be moving before March 3rd. The Oilers are desperate for another defenseman and if they can make the money work, could be a deal to be had here.

Columbus Blue Jackets

Another struggling team looking to rebuild in a hurry, the Blue Jackets know Puljujarvi very well and perhaps playing alongside close friend Patrik Laine could spark some production. Heading into Saturday's action, Puljujarvi has recorded just one goal and six points in 28 games. The Jackets have Vladislav Gavrikov who is expected to be moved before the deadline, the Oilers could be interested in the pending free-agent defenseman.
