Carolina Hurricanes Forward Resumes Skating

According to Carolina Hurricanes team reporter Walt Ruff, Ondrej Kase has resumed skating for the first time since suffering a concussion during the first game of the regular season.

Although Kase is back on the ice, that does not mean that a return will occur immediately. The 27-year-old winger has suffered multiple concussions over his career, so the Hurricanes cannot rush him back under any circumstances. Still, even with this being the case, it is simply nice to see him skating again.

If Kase can return at some point this campaign, he certainly would be a solid addition to the Canes. In 50 games last season for the Toronto Maple Leafs, he had 14 goals and 27 points. Overall, he is a quality third-line winger at his best, and Carolina definitely could use a bit more secondary scoring right now. However, as stated above, he cannot be rushed back. Here's to hoping that things continue to go smoothly with his recovery from here.
