Montreal Canadiens Lose 2 Players

The Montreal Canadiens have announced that Brendan Gallagher will be out for at least two weeks because of a lower-body injury. With that, David Savard is out with an upper-body injury.

At this point of the season, the Canadiens have been exceeding expectations. After finishing with the worst record in the NHL last season, they currently sport a 12-11-1 record. As a result, it is not ideal for them to lose two veterans in Gallagher and Savard.

Gallagher has had a bit of a down year offensively in 2022-23, as he has just three goals and eight points in 22 games. Yet, his leadership will certainly be missed while he is out. Savard, on the other hand, has eight points in 24 games.
