Montreal Canadiens Place Defenseman on IR

The Montreal Canadiens have placed David Savard on injured reserve.

Savard has been out since the beginning of the month due to an upper-body injury. Although it was once considered a day-to-day ailment, his estimated recovery time has since been changed to two to three weeks. As a result, this IR placement is not all that surprising.

Savard has had a decent start to the 2022-23 season, as he has one goal and eight points in 24 games. Yet, Montreal misses his physical play and steadiness the most. Alas, here's to hoping that everything with his recovery goes smoothly from here and that he will be back on the ice shortly.
