New York Islanders Call Up Defenseman

Robin Salo has spent much of this season bouncing from the AHL and NHL. This trend is continuing yet again, as the New York Islanders have called the 24-year-old back up to their NHL roster.

Salo was sent back down to the Bridgeport Islanders last Wednesday, but now he is once again in Long Island. The 2017 second-round pick will be hoping to get into game action during this latest call-up, as he has not been used too often by the Islanders this year. However, when dressed, he has been solid, as his two goals and a plus-1 rating in four games show well.

Alas, we will have to wait and see how Salo performs during this latest call-up. He will be hoping that this call-up is finally a permanent one from here.
