Seattle Kraken Defenseman Suspended 3 Games

Seattle Kraken defenseman Jamie Oleksiak has been suspended by the NHL for three games after an illegal check to the head of Washington Capitals defenseman Alexander Alexeyev.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety has been busy this weekend as Oleksiak joins Jeff Skinner of the Buffalo Sabres and Pierre Engvall of the Toronto Maple Leafs, who were also given bans the past couple of days.

As for Oleksiak, being 6-foot-7 may have played a role here as he delivered a bone-crushing hit along the wall and was assessed a five-minute major and a game as he caught way too much of Alexeyev's head.

Here's the hit, 3 games the right call?
