Vancouver Canucks Forward Sent Down to AHL

The Vancouver Canucks have sent Nils Hoglander down to the AHL.

Hoglander has had another rough year in 2022-23 thus far. In 25 games, he has three goals, nine points, and a minus-4 rating. His struggles to remain consistent have also resulted in the 22-year-old being healthy scratched multiple times this season. Therefore, this demotion could be a way for the Canucks to try to get the 2019 second-round pick going again.

After his 27-point rookie campaign in 56 games during the 2020-21 season, Hoglander has had a lot of trouble replicating it. Let's see if this move down to the AHL can help him get things back on track. Alas, time will tell what happens on that front.
