Vancouver Canucks Goalie Helped Off the Ice vs Florida Panthers

The Vancouver Canucks are holding their breath after goaltender Thatcher Demko went down Thursday night with an undisclosed injury. The incident occurred during the final minutes of the first period in the Canucks matchup against the Florida Panthers.

Demko needed to be helped off the ice after Panthers forward Ryan Lomberg scored on a rebound chance. The Canucks netminder seemed to be favoring his right leg after Lomberg lit the lamp.

Spencer Martin came into the game in relief for Demko and appears Martin will be given some more work as the team awaits Demko's injury update. This injury is essentially salt in the wound as Demko's play hasn't been stellar so far this season, he entered Thursday's game with a .885 save % and a 3-9-2 record.
